The Palomar Handweavers' Guild was formed in 1952 and recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a juried exhibit and retrospective at the Municipal Gallery in Escondido, California.  The Guild presently has more than 60 members, all with interests in the various areas of fiberarts including weaving, spinning, basketry, braiding, dyeing, felting, and surface design. We welcome all levels of expertise, from beginners to professionals,  and enjoy learning from each other as well as from nationally known speakers at our meetings and workshops.

Location:  Trinity Episcopal Church (Parish Hall) (mapquest) * September through June.

845 Chestnut St at 9th Avenue
                  Escondido

Monthly meetings begin at 9:30 a.m on the second Monday of the month. Show and Share is a valuable part of our meetings, with an informal study group, the Roundtable, following the meeting whenever possible where weavers share information and help each other solve weaving problems. A spinning/knitting group has also been established and informal fiber gatherings at various locations take place in the summer when desired.

Education and Outreach is an integral part of the Palomar Handweavers' Guild. Members are encouraged to participate in the San Diego County Fair, Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum, Guajome Adobe, First Night in Escondido, and the Escondido Public Library venues. The best part of the Palomar Handweavers' Guild are the friends we make while sharing our interest in fibers.
